Our 12 gaming tables are available to play on for free anytime and game demos are always welcome. We recommend calling ahead for availability Fridays to Sundays as we often have special events using large sections of the store.
The Soldiery is a full service game store specializing in role playing games, board games, ccgs, miniatures, and historical games.
We carry a wide range of singles of both collectable card games and collectable miniature games. Just let us know what cards you want and we will look up the price and tell you if we have them in stock. For those that need to root, we have boxes of common magic cards/land for just 8 cents a piece.
We are also well known for our out-of-print items.We have 49 feet of display racks, chock full of new and used role playing books, and three bookcases of new and used board games, in addition to many popular board games displayed all over the store. We have two packed wall panels of new and out of production metal fantasy figures.
We are stockists of Games Workshop and are pleased to offer 15% off everyday on our extensive inventory and 20% off on prepaid special orders of items we don't stock or on direct special orders.
We have greatly expanded our inventory to qualify for partnership stocking level with Games Workshop and are excited about all the new items we can offer our customers.
We take trade-ins of old games for new. If you have a collection of board games, roleplaying games, collectable card games, miniatures you are interested in trading in or even selling, either send us an email or fax us a brief description of what you have.
We are buying Pokemon, but only at bulk rate. Currently offering $5 cash per thousand for mint new condition cards. Half as much if played/foreign.

Store Magic Buy/Trade Policy We are looking for any: 1. Planeswalkers (special type of magic card first released in Lorwyn)
2. Valuable cards (valued over $15 for rares and $5 for uncommons, that we don't already have many of in our inventory).
3. Bulk Rares ($1 store credit per 8 rares, must be actual rares, no time spiral purples or foreign cards).
4. Bulk everything else (except land) at $2.50 per thousand in store credit
Trade Policy: We give store credit on a sliding scale from 10% to 60% (of market price), depending on how quickly we feel the card might sell, how many we already have in stock and condition of the card.
We give half of store credit, if you want cash (or combination of credit and cash).
Junkbin Buyback Program! We are also interested in distressed/store inventories and even junk bins.

Behind the Laughing Ogre comic book shop, block and a half south of Henderson Road and High St. on the east side of High St. in Clintonville (suburb of Columbus).
Bus routes: Multiple bus routes allow for easy access to the store. The #2 bus passes right in front of the store, on High St. The #2 is ideal for transportation from the Downtown area or from OSU campus. The #95 stops at the corner of Henderson Rd. and High St. just 2 blocks north of the store.

MTG Friday Night Magic DCI Sanctioned Booster Draft - Registration at 6:30 pm and Tournament starts at 7:00 pm. Entry $12.00. Prize of 1 booster per player is split amongst the top finishers. FNM foil for 1st and 2nd place finishers and the other 2 foils are handed out as door prizes at the end of the tournament.
Casual Magic Play - 6 pm till 1 am.

Notice: Our Yu-Gi-Oh Saturday Events are "Pay to Stay" events. This means to stay in the store and participate in the event, you need to pay $5 for either event or a $5 entry fee to "stay" for the events. By Konami rule as this is a sanctioned event any minors trading fall under the “take-back-rule”(ie any trades may be taken back if either party feels the trade was unfair).
250% Payout - Yu-Gi-OhPegasus Challenge Sanctioned 11 am registration - 11:15 am start, $5 entry, max 16 players (no prereg). Pegasus Challenge format, up to 4 rounds swiss. Prize pool is 2.5 turbo packs per person in the event ($12.50 retail). Payout is 1 turbo pack as participation prize, and the rest split amongst the top finishers. Cossy numbers are required, please have them with you every week. A limited supply of Cossy numbers are available to be issued to participants of the event. Yu-Gi-Oh CCG Unsanctioned Constructed Tournament 11 am registration - 2 pmstart, 6 pm finish, $5 entry, Advanced Tournament format, 4 rounds swiss and cut to the top 8 (at 48 players and up, cut to the top 16). Prizes for top 8, and varies depending on number of paid participants.
Sunday - 11 am to 7 pm
Pokemon League - 11 am to 2 pm. Free to play, with free promo prizes. Open to all experience levels and to players of all ages.
